It is a blessing to work with so many driven, passionate and exciting people, and Lena at Pionjären flower farmer is one of them. We got in touch a couple of years ago, in a context about local collaborations, sustainability and quality. Now she has started a new adventure as a peony farmer! In a field near my summer studio, she has planted thousands of peonies that are just about to burst into bloom!
A couple of months ago, she got in touch and wanted to create a collection of vases for the peonies. We decided on three versions, one for a solitary flower, one for a bouquet and a bowl for ikebana arrangements. I chose to work with discreet glazes, to really let the flowers take center stage. And yes, in the end there were 4 vases, with two variants of the solitary vase.
The vases will soon be added to my shop, in case you want to order for your own bouquets!
