For the Easter exhibition at Smygehuk Fyr this year, I created a new series of pieces, still vases but more sculptural objects.
The series are called “Symbios”, referring to their interdependence of each other. The vases are thrown on the wheel, balanced and shaped with intention. Onto its surface, something else emerges, grows from the face of the pot. Something organic, irregular, fragile. They could not exist without each other. The contrast in the material reinforces this dialogue, in colour, in form and in texture.
