Utställning på KKAM museum i Höganäs

Exhibition at KKAM museum in Höganäs

November 8 - January 4, the exhibition "Tradition shapes the future" will be on display at KKAM Museum in Höganäs. The exhibition is a group exhibition by me and my classmates from the "Ceramics - development year with mentoring" course at Hellidens Folkhögskola. KKAM Museum celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, and we were commissioned to interpret what Höganäs means to us.

My work is called "Deposits"

The piece is inspired by old mine shafts in where the layers of the earth become visible. Through deposits of stoneware clay, layers of color, form and time are explored.

The deposits reflect both natural processes and human influence – a conversation between what we take from the earth and what we leave behind.

Together, 16 pieces on the same theme have been created, each with their own personal interpretation of what Höganäs means to them. It is a very beautiful exhibition, which really shows the varieties of what ceramics can be and become - even with a common starting point.

If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend a visit! Opening hours and more information at KKAM.nu.
