Utställningar i påsk: Vita Ladan

Exhibitions at Easter: Vita Ladan

The largest exhibition during Easter was the exhibition in the gallery Vita Ladan in Österlen. Here, together with my husband Kristoffer, we created the exhibition "On the Border" together with photographer Michel Thomas and artist Johanna Berg.

"The exhibition brings together four artistic perspectives where sculptural forms, ceramic interpretations and photographic stories are woven together into a visual celebration of symbolism and meaning. Through different materials and techniques, the relationship between man and nature, between the organic and the creative, is explored. Where is the boundary? How do we relate to boundaries?

Maria Richardsson's works challenge ideas about what is possible and not possible. She examines what happens when you balance on the edge, as an individual or a society, and how boundaries are manifested."

Since the barn has a ceiling height of 7 meters, we were required to create works on a larger scale. In my interpretation of the theme, I created ceramic "stones" that balanced on the border of what is possible and what is not. The stones were in different ceramic materials, and created with different techniques and different types of firing, but together they still created a coherent expression.

In the exhibition room there was also a virtual boundary, a horizon, that existed throughout the room - both in the photographs from Michel Thomas, in Kristoffer's wooden sculptures and in my ceramic sculptures.

The exhibition was truly special, in so many ways. It was the first major exhibition I (we) have done and it was a challenge on many levels to scale up our ideas around the sculptures. To the be able to be there, meeting the visitors and hearing their thoughts on what we had created was fantastic.

Here you can see some of the objects a little closer .
